Building International Applications for the .NET Development PlatformKathleen Carey - Microsoft Corporation
The .NET Development Platform includes classes and tools to help you build world-ready applications. This talk will describe the .NET Platform's support for both globalization and for translated (localized) resources. We'll review globalization support in the system.globalization and system.text classes(such as CultureInfo, CurrentCulture versus CurrentUICulture, DateTime and Numeric formatting). Next we'll cover the resource model, including the resource manager, satellite assemblies, and fallback logic. Finally we'll look at special considerations for ASP.NET globalization and localization. |
