Right-to-Left Font Structure, Font Design and TypographyThomas Milo - DecoType
DecoType and Fontlab are joining forces to produce a tool that enables the production of Open Type fonts for (extended) Arabic, Hebrew and others in both the TrueType and PostScript flavours. Therefore, this talk will not be just theoretical, but also practical: a new, RTL-enabled version of the FontLab font editor ( www.fontlab.com ) will be shown and discussed against the background of a general understanding of the structure and aesthetic qualities of these scripts. |
