Supplementary Character Support in Microsoft ProductsMichael Kaplan - Trigeminal Software, Inc.
The supplementary character planes supports over 1,000,000 characters in Unicode, and now such characters have officially been defined, people need to be thinking about these characters and how they will be supported in their products. Under Windows, there is some support (in Windows 2000 and XP, as well as in Visual Studio.NET) and this support will be discussed, as well as how to best use it in your applications and components. |
